Abstract

In a global village, it is not possible to develop a complete positive psychology without taking into account cultural and contextual perspectives. That is why it is very important to all those interested in global wellbeing to participate in this timely symposium. My own session on existential positive psychology focuses on the context of suffering which is an essential part of the developing world and the Chinese culture, whose teaching on Yin Yang dialectics and the middle way is the key to integrating the East and the West.
